A Personnel Action Form (PAF) is an information-gathering tool used to create or change an employee's data in SAP.

  • At the beginning of a person's employment with the University of Nebraska, a PAF is used to gather information needed to hire the person and to create a new record in SAP for the employee.
  • During employment, various types of PAFs are used to change the employee's record in the event of transfer, position change, change of pay rate or funding source, or a variety of other possible reasons.
  • At the end of employment, information from a PAF is entered to separate the employee from the University.
