Does the employee have proper security?
The transaction ZHRSEC in SAP will list the security that has been granted to employees. The report can be run by org unit, personnel number, or NUID.
Does the employee have a university email address?
A university email address must be populated on the employee’s record in SAP IT0105. The university email address will have a start date (either the hire date or current date) and must have an end date of 12/31/9999.

Does the employee have a time approver?
For ESS time to work properly, an employee must have a time approver, and the time approver must have MyStaff security in Firefly. The Business Intelligence Org Management Relationships report or SAP transaction PO13 (Position Information) will list the time approver for an employee or position. SAP transaction ZHRSEC can then be used to ensure the time approver has MyStaff security. If Mystaff security has not been added to the time approvers security role, submit a Firefly Security Request.
